Scott Jensen – Co-Founder
and Chief Technology Officer. Mr.
Jensen co-founded Aptas Inc. (formally known as Nextron) in 1995 where he held a
number of executive level positions including Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Mr. Jensen was responsible
for all software development and implementation with Nextron’s multi-national
customer base. During
Mr. Jensen’s tenure as CTO, he led the development of the company’s
technology from early concept to a world leadership position in the online
Yellow Pages market. The company
was a pioneer in the use of dynamic database driven websites that re-purposed
existing Yellow Pages data to online venues.
The Nextron technology
platform provided multiple language support for the company’s international
customers including France Telecom and Belgacom. Major domestic customers included Verizon, Quest, SBC and NTT
Verio.
In 2002, Mr. Jensen became Chairman of the Board and
facilitated a successful merger between Nextron and its leading competitor, Webb
Interactive. The company was
re-named Aptas and relocated to Denver, CO, where it continues to be a leading
software provider in the Yellow Pages industry.
Prior to Nextron, Mr. Jensen worked for Litton
Industries in the Computer Services division where he was in charge computing
services for three Litton divisions consisting of multiple facilities with over 2,500
users using diverse platforms and applications.
